The Cronus Device:

The Cronus device allows you play console games using a keyboard and mouse. It also allows you to use any console controller with any console. This device works by reading pc inputs from your various imput devices like a mice and keyboard and converts it to a signal readable by your game console. This also means you can play console games with voice recognition software such as Dragon Naturally Speaking. Nearly any adaptive devices that can be used with a pc, can also be used to play console games.
For instructions on how to use Dragon Naturally Speaking with the Cronus, see bottom of post.

The Cronus comes in 2 different versions. The standard Cronus CrossOver adapter and the Cronus Extreme Adapter. Both versions work the same, except the Cronus Extremes comes with ability to use mods such as rapid fire. For information on both versions use these links:

Setting up Cronus to be use with Dragon:

In order to use speech recognition software along with your Cronus device, there are a few simple things you to do. As stated we will be discussing how to use Dragon, however it is very likely that most if not all speech recognition programs will also work. Ok here's what you need to do.

  1. Download and install Nuance's Dragon Naturally Speaking or install from disc.

  2. Once dragon is successfully installed, create a new "User Profile"

  3. Follow the on screen setup wizard through the various steps, this wizard will calibrate your microphone and guide you through "Basic Training".

  4. Once you have completed the wizard, Dragon should be able to recognize basic voice commands. This will be enough to get started but its recommended that you do further voice training.

  5. Download and install the Cronus Configuration Software, Bullseye and CronusCFG.

  6. Follow the above videos, "How to Connect your Keyboard and Mouse to your XBOX 360" and "How to Connect your Keyboard and Mouse to your PS3".

  7. Now follow the screen clips bellow:
